Chui Lodge

Chui Lodge, situated in the heart of the Oserengoni Wildlife Sanctuary, comprises of luxurious cottages set in a beautifully manicured garden. Enjoy international standard cusine under the shade of our acacia trees whilst you watch the wildlife drinking from the nearby waterhole. The Lodge is built from simple bush stone, Acacia, Olive and Leleshwa wood all sustainably sourced from within the sanctuary. The dining room, lounge and bar area feature pillars and murals with intricate African carvings, African antiques and ochre coloured walls creating the feel of an artist's gallery. A short walk from the main building and cottages is a large swimming pool with views across the waterhole and the wildlife sanctuary beyond. Having a refreshing dip in the pool while watching herds of giraffe walk down to drink is a unique memory you will keep forever. With so much space and privacy, time here moves slowly and one can lose oneself in the African bush without disturbance. Activities Bush Breakfast Enjoy a signature morning bush breakfast set beneath the shade of expansive acacia trees along the lakeshore. Savor a freshly prepared hot breakfast paired with a glass of sparkling wine, as you take in the tranquil scenery, complete with the gentle sight and sounds of hippos wallowing in the distance. It’s a serene and unforgettable way to begin your day. Bush Safari Walk One of the best ways to see birds is during a safari walk, guests can explore the shores of Lake Oloidien with its masses of water fowl including Black-winged Stilt, Pied Kingfisher, Hottentot Teal and Great Cormorant. The yellow fever Acacia forests that border the lake are frequented by leopards, Colobus Monkeys, Eland and the Defassa Waterbuck, which makes this bush walk a remarkable experience. Boat Safaris Take a boat trip on Lake Naivasha where you can marvel at the splendor of the Rift Valley, groups of hippos, Goliath Herons, African Jacanas and wildlife along the shoreline. The calm waters of the lake are perfect to watch large-mouthed bass and Tilapia surface and catch unsuspecting insects. Game Drives Customized daily activities to guests’ interests to include day and night game drives in the Oserengoni Wildlife Sanctuary or along the lakeshore. Guests can roam the sanctuary in 4x4 safari vehicles in complete privacy and see an array of wildlife. Bush Dinner The best way to experience the African bush is having a luxurious dinner under the stars. Candle lit with shukas to keep you warm and portable mini jikos (fire pits) this experience is one to not miss out on. A delicious three course meal will be served to you while the night sounds of the wild surround you. This is a perfect combination with a sundowner and ideal for family groups and friends. Sundowner Enjoy a stunning sundowner with a glass of wine while watching the sunset over the plains and Mau escarpment or along the lakeshore while the pelicans and flamingo fly passed. Sitting around a roaring log fire after an unforgettable game drive is the perfect way to end the day.
